Maldives Meteorological Service (MET Office) has said while some regions may still experience moderate to heavy showers, overall weather conditions are expected to improve across most of the country in the coming days.
The Met Office noted that the weather has been unfavorable this week, but better weather conditions are expected in the upcoming days.
Winds are also expected to be calmer in the coming days. The Met Office forecasts wind speeds of 8 mph to 18 mph in the northern and central parts of the Maldives, while southern regions are expected to experience lighter winds ranging from 5 to 15 mph. Seas will be moderately rough in the northern atolls but calmer in the southern atolls.
