More than 848,000 tourists from the top 10 source markets have visited the Maldives so far this year.
According to the Tourism Ministry, 848,210 out of the 1.3 million tourists who visited the Maldives as of August 20 were from these top 10 countries. This accounts for 64.8 percent of the total tourist arrivals so far this year.

Data shows that the number of tourists visiting the Maldives thus far this year increased by 10.4 percent compared to the same period last year, when. 1.1 million tourists visited the Maldives.
The Maldives currently boasts 1,220 tourist facilities in the Maldives, including 174 resorts, 879 guesthouses, 153 safaris, and 14 hotels.
