The Maldives has won the World's Leading Destination Award at the prestigious World Travel Awards for the fifth consecutive year.
The Maldives has been competing for the award with the world's most popular destinations since 2020 and has consistently emerged victorious in the category.
Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal received this year's award at a ceremony held in Madeira, Portugal. He attributed the Maldives' success to the efforts of the tourism industry.
The Maldives also won the World's Leading Green Destination Award at the World Travel Awards.
