Inflation in the Maldives fell by 0.16 percent in October compared to September this year.
According to the Consumer Price Index (CPI), a measure of the price of goods and services published by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), inflation was at 0.24 percent in October, excluding changes to fish prices.
Prices for several services and goods decreased in October, including electricity, which dropped by 2.64 percent, vegetables by 3.91 percent, fruits by 1.0 percent, books by 3.83 percent, and pets and pet products by 6.26 percent. Mobile device prices also saw a 1.68 percent decline, although mobile communication costs increased by 2.88 percent. Seafood prices experienced a rise of 1.37 percent.
