Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives Akhilesh Mishra has said that 70 percent of the population in the Maldives and India are youth.
Speaking in the 7th Global Congress and Conferment Ceremony of Singapore's Royal Institute, Ambassador Mishra said the youth of both nations achieved remarkable successes in their endeavors.
Noting that the youth of the two nations were promising individuals, Mishra addressed the many challenges especially for the economy. He added India is the fastest growing economy in the world, with the GDP to grow by 7.6 percent this year.
Ambassador Mishra shared the details of the economic development in India with the participants of the ceremony.
