PSM to release translation of Holy Quran

Public Service Media (PSM) has revealed the Media will be releasing the audio and video of the translation of the Holy Quran for this Ramadan.

Speaking in the ceremony held last night to sign on sponsors for the media's "Enme Ali Gadha Thari" competition, PSM Managing Director Ibrahim Khaleel said no collective effort had been made by the state to record the Quran in whole, even though parts of it have been translated and broadcast on tv and radio.

He said this initiative had begun on the day PSM was formed as a body and that the translation was nearing completion. Khaleel said the translation will be made public this Ramadan.

"PSM will release the translation this Ramadan. It will be released on multiple forms, CDs, DVDs, phone applications and can be transferred to pen drives, it will be accessible to all," Khaleel said.

Khaleel added that once completed, listeners will be able to easily access all chapters and their translations easily.
