A Maldivian has been arrested for trying to smuggle drugs into the Maldives. He was arrested day before yesterday, while attempting to smuggle the drugs into the country.
Police have not revealed any details about the man who was arrested.
Customs officials revealed that this man flew in from India and was arrested with the drugs at a check point. Officials revealed that he had ingested the drugs in order to smuggle it in. Custom officers had stopped the man and taken him for X-rays as his behaviour was suspicious. The drug bullets were reportedly extracted from his rectum.
Customs officials revealed that he had tried to smuggle 600 grams of heroin into the country.
