The Commonwealth Health Minister's meeting has begun today.
The meeting will focus on 'Health Security and Access to Universal Health Coverage’.
The Commonwealth said that in view of the challenges of unexpected disease outbreaks and climate change, the meeting will offer governments an opportunity for a frank exchange on global health security and emergency preparedness in the context of universal health coverage.
Ministers will also discuss Commonwealth health priorities since the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in September 2015.
Health Minister Irthisham Adam is the head of the delegations at the Commonwealth Health Ministers meeting.
