President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyoom has launched the sewerage network of Ha. Huvarafushi today.
The project is a state sponsored project carried out by Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC). The project began on November 4, 2014 and concluded on December 31, 2015.
A total of MVR 60,036,031.05 had been spent on the project. At the completion of the project, four pump stations, 14.94 km of sewerage network and a sea outflow pipe measuring 256 meters had been created in the island.
Due to the new network, all homes in the island will be covered in a proper network.
