Maldives Police Service (MPS) has revealed that they had arrested an employee of Allied Insurance in connection to the fraud case of the company.
The employee had defrauded the company by selling fake insurance policies worth over MVR 100,000. Following the revelation, the Company had dismissed the employee and filed the case in MPS on the 18th of this month. Police had confirmed the case was under investigation for the fraud and that he had defrauded the company by MVR 128000.
The former employee, a 27 year old male, was arrested under a court warrant obtained on Sunday.
He has been remanded for five days and the case is under investigation.
