India ready to work with Maldives to develop Tourism

A cabinet minister of India has endorsed the agreement signed between Maldives and India, to work together to develop the Tourism Sector.

Maldives and India had signed an agreement to work together simultaneously to develop the Tourism sector, and to strengthen the friendship between the two countries. The agreement was signed during an official trip that the President of Maldives made to India in April.

India's prime minister Narendra Modi was also present in this auspicious occasion. A statement released by the cabinet after the signing stated that the agreement would be beneficial to both the Countries.

Under the agreement, both countries have agreed to work together and share information on how to develop the tourism sector. Furthermore, India and Maldives have agreed to work together and carry out trainings, and work out the details of how to handle marketing.

While Maldives and India have agreed to work together, India stands in the fourth place on the statistic showing the nationalities that visit Maldives the most.
