Hithadhoo Regional Hospital has said an injured individual in last night's incident in Addu City is in serious condition and the Hospital was making arrangements to transfer him to Male' for further treatment. Five are currently seeking treatment from injuries sustained in last night's scuffle that had occurred between two gangs of the City.
Speaking to Avas, Addu Regional Hospital Manager Abdullah Jameel said one individual needed to be transferred to Male' for CT scans on his head. He said the Hospital was finalizing arrangements to send him to Male' around 1:50 pm.
"He had sustained severe damages to his head. We need to get a scan done before additional treatment and we hope to send him to Male' sometime this afternoon," Jameel said.
Jameel said the individual who had sustained a knife attack to the back was recovering. The others had sustained minor injuries and had been released after treatment. Police said that investigation into the incident was ongoing and that five had been arrested in connection to the incident.
