Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has passed to summon former President Maumoon Abdul Qayyoom for questioning in connection to the corruption cases currently being investigated by the Commission.
ACC President Hassan Luthfee said the audit reports conducted by the Commission on President Maumoon's tenure noted various cases of corruption He said that Maumoon needed to be questioned in the matter, adding the Commission will make all necessary preparations to conduct that interview.
The Auditor General reports show that during President Maumoon's tenure, many illegal financial transactions were carried out by Maumoon and his family members.
