The issue of garbage in Male' City is an old issue, debated and discussed many times over. Various groups run campaigns to clean the City occasionally. However, this campaign is wholly different. The Somerset Hotel is cleaning Male' in what will shape up to be an enthusiastic campaign.
The first prize winners will receive two way tickets from Cathay Pacific. Second prize winners will receive a two day package for two in Adaaran Water Villas. Additionally, winners will receive six month gym membership from TFG.
"We made this into a competition so many can participate in this," Somerset said.
Participation in the competition is open to all, including but not limited to NGOs, Government bodies, private and state owned corporations and schools.
Somerset said Cathay Pacific, Ministry of Environment and Energy, MNDF, Maldives Police Service, Waste Management Corporation and Coca cola company were partners in this endeavor. The hotel had appealed to all to participate in the program run under their CSR programs.
