National Center for the Arts (NCA) has revealed that Maldives has been granted opportunity to participate in an Egyptian Music Festival.
The International Samaa' Festival for Spiritual Music & Chanting, organized by Egypt's Ministry of Culture, will be held in Cairo, Egypt from September 20th to 27th.
A statement released by NCA said the opportunity will be granted to one group consisting of 12 members. Accommodation, food and travel will be provided by Egypt's Ministry of Culture. The group will have to be decked in cultural attire and can only use traditional music instruments.
Applications can be sent to NCA on or before July 19th. Applications can be downloaded from the Center's website and the Center itself.
