President Office has revealed that the Independence Day Ceremony, to be officiated by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom and First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim, will be held at Islamic Center area.
A statement released by the Office said that the ceremony will take place on the grounds of Islamic Center - invitations are currently being forwarded to invitees who will take part in the function on July 26, 2016. The Office also stated that the Independence Day ceremony will be among events with the most number of invitees within the last decade or so.
The government has made various arrangements for an eventful and colorful celebration to commemorate Independence Day in the Maldives.
