Civil Service human resources audit to commence tomorrow

Civil Service Commission (CSC) has revealed the Commission will begin a human resource audit of the entire civil service in order to improve the services given by the civil service institutions, as requested by the President.

A statement released by the Commission today stated that audit teams will begin their work in civil service institutions to understand the human resource status and employee capabilities.

“A human resource audit will allow the Commission to streamline civil service in the country, reduce cost, enable technology where possible and understand the core capabilities the employees will have to possess,” the statement said.

The audit will determine the optimal number of employees in any given institution and help strategically guide the institutions to achieving their goals.

CSC President Dr. Ali Shameem stated that supervisors will be placed in every civil service institution to monitor work practices and standards. Based on the reports filed by the supervisors, training will be provided to all falling under acceptable standards and bring them up to a level.
