Maldives Broadcasting Commission (Broadcom) has decreed that there were no issues in President's statement in his address at the closing ceremony of the "Fahi 913" sports festival. Additionally, the Commission stated that the President's statement did not encourage prostitution.
The Commission made the statement after reviewing a public complaint filed on the live coverage of the festival closing ceremony. The report made by the Commission said that the President's statements were in response to the speech given by MDA Leader Ahmed Siyam Mohamed.
The Commission in full voted that it did not support or encouraged prostitution.
The closing ceremony of Fahi 913 festival was held last month.
