Multiple parties expresses interest in i-Havan master plan

Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed reveals that multiple parites have expressed interest in creating the i-Havan Integrated Projects Master Plan.

Speaking to Avas, Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed said the deadline for submission of the proposal for the i-Havan Integrated Projects Master Plan was extended on request of many parties.

"Deadline was extended on request of individuals, both local and international companies. They wanted an extension so we gave it," he said.

Saeed said the proposal development will have to be completed in three months. When completed, a concept drawing of i-Havan will be drawn up, which will become a guide for the development of area in phases.

Minister Saeed said the i-Havan will start this year as planned, as envisioned by the President.

The i-Havan integrated project will include the development of harbors and ports, the cargo storage areas, an international cruise facility, airport, as well as residential and commercial real estate.

Feasibility studies of the project was carried out by Boston Consultancy Group (BCG).
