Ooredoo launches iPhone7, long queues for phone

Ooredoo Maldives has launched iPhone7 and iPhone7 plus to the market today. The phone was launched this morning in Ooredoo Experience Center.

The phones were launched to the market by National team Captain Ali Ashfaq. Prepaid customers will be eligible for 12GB of free data and 1200 minutes of free talk time. Post paid customers will be eligible for 32GB of data.

Ooredoo Senior Specialist Verse, Ahmed Nooman said the most significant feature of the phone was the home button.

"There's no home button. Log in by touch, finger print. No headphone jacks. Through lighting connector can use charger, headphones," Nooman said.

The phone has exceptional sound quality and is equipped with two 12 mega pixel cameras.

Ooredoo Senior Officer Products, Aminath Amaanee said that phones were priced from MVR 899 onward, with postpaid customers eligible for 3GB monthly in addition to installments.

"Monthly they can get 3GB, upto 36GB annually. And prepaid customers can get 12GB and 1200 free minutes," Amaanee said.

Ooredoo launched the iPhones on preorders, with many having taken the opportunity.
