Former First Lady Ilham heads to US on autism conference

Autism Association Chairperson and former First Lady Ilham Hussain has departed to US to attend the Autism Advocacy Leadership Network session.

The assembly of the Autism Advocacy Leadership Network organized by Autism Speaks is held in Washington, US from 13th to 14th of this month. The former First Lady will attend the session on invitation from the organization.

Autism Association says they have expanded their education and training services, having trained over 100 teachers in teaching to autistic children. The Association had also conducted training sessions in the atolls.

Autism Association was founded in 2009 with Ilham and parents of autistic children.
