Business Forum begins with over 30 Thai companies

Thailand Maldives B2B forum has begun in Dharubaaruge with over 30 Thai companies participating in the Forum.

The Forum is being held in Dharubaaruge Dhoshimeyna Hall until 5pm today. While 30 companies are participating in the Forum, it aims to open opportunities for investors to bring in goods to the market. The Forum is open to public.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Forum, Economic Ministry's Deputy Minister Adam Thaufeeq said the Forum was vital to local businesses and appealed all business owners to visit the Forum.

"Its important that export companies can meet local businesses. Due to this, businesses can source their products at a reasonable rates," Adam said.

Thai Commerce Minister Apiradi Tantraporn was also part of the visiting delegation. However, she had departed last night.

Deputy Minister Adam Thaufeeq said the Forum was a vital one, adding that they wanted to see more opportunities for Thai exporters and local importers.

Thailand is one key product supplier, with Thailand supplying MVR 47 million by end of August this year.
