SATA: judging to begin tomorrow

  • Awards will be held from 15-16 next month

The Judges for the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) has arrived in the Maldives. The judging will begin tomorrow. SATA will be held next month in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

SATA organizers Highrise, says the Judges panel is comprised of key individuals in Sri Lanka and Indian tourism. The Judges arrived last night.

The presentation and judging will be held in Champa Central Hotel.

SATA will be held in from the 15th to the 16th of next month in Sri Lanka's Mount Lavinia Hotel.

SATA Awards is the first Awards held for South Asian tourism sector. 273 businesses and 40 brands have been nominated for the SATA awards which will be handed out in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Hideaway, Jumeirah, Park Hyatt, Coco Collection, Villa Group, Sun Siyam, Adaaran, Constance, Aitken Spence, Lily Group, Kingsbury, Taj Samudra and Casa Collection are among the nominees.

SATA is the first Hospitality Award brand recognized by regional organizations including Federations of Chambers of Commerce in Sri Lanka (FCCISL), Colombo Chamber of Commerce (CCC), Confederation of Association Tour Operators (CATO, India), Association of Tourism Trade Organizations of India (ATTOI), Association of Travel Agents (ATA, Maldives) and Liveaboard Association of Maldives (LAM). .
