Maldives at 'Top Resa', biggest tourism fair of France

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has confirmed they will be exhibiting the island nation at the biggest tourism fair held in France; Top Resa.

MMPRC confirmed a total of 34 Maldivian ventures were taking part at the International French Travel Market (IFTM) - 'Top Resa' - from September 25 until September 28.

MMPRC's acting Managing Director Haris Mohamed leads the Maldivian delegation taking part in the event according to the corporation.

The state owned marketing and public relation corporation's acting MD noted the French tourist market to Maldives was on the rise; with as much as 24% of market contribution in 2018 compared to last year.

Marking its 40th anniversary in 2018, the biggest travel and tourism fair originating from France have been held annually since 1979.

Maldives Tourism Ministry's statistics confirm that a total of 42,365 French travelers visited the island nation in 2017. In 2018, the French traveler visit hit 32,403 by end of July.
