A fire has started near the Convention Center in Hithadhoo, Addu City
The Maldivian National Defense Force (MNDF) inform that the marshy land near the Convention Center had caught on fire, and that they are currently working on controlling the fire.
MNDF inform that they first received word of the fire at 11:50 am today.
Even though MNDF has been working on controlling the fire, the fire is still burning and reports suggest that the fire has already spread to a large area.
