The next Maldives Investment Forum is set to be held in the capital of Qatar, Doha. At an interview given at the current Investment Forum being held in New Delhi, Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed said efforts have already begun to hold the next Forum in Doha.
He said that this is an effort of President Abdulla Yameen and that it is already in process.
"President Yameen has decided to hold the next forum in Doha. Hopefully, I will officially announce it in Delhi," Saeed said.
The first investment forum held to advertise the investment opportunities in the Maldives was held in 2014 in Singapore. The second forum was held in Beijing, China. The forum currently being held in New Delhi is the third in the series.
The investment forums are opening investment chances in the Maldives for foreign investors.
