The man in critical condition after being injured in an accident last week in the southernmost Atoll Addu died Tuesday while receiving treatment in the capital Male.
Ibrahim Didi was hit by a speeding motorbike last Tuesday and was airlifted to the capital Male three days later.
Hospital sources the victim had suffered a stroke while being treated for injuries and died late Tuesday.
