Maldives' main bank shuffles top brass

The Bank of Maldives, (BML) has brought some notable changes to it's executive line up, and these changes have been shared with the public and bank employees by bank CEO Andrew Healey Thursday.

The changes, which come in to effect on 2nd January 2017, include current Retail Banking Director Mohamed Shareef becoming the new Director of Operations, and he will also be joining Aishath Noordeen as a Deputy CEO. Former Director of Corporate Banking, Kuldip Paliwal will become the new Director of business and will be heading both Retail as well as Corporate Banking.

As part of the bank's effort to increase it's presence in the Islamic Banking sector, Zulkarnain Taman who is a leading professional in the area will take charge as the Director of BML Islamic.

BML CEO wished support for the newly promoted members, saying that he was confident that the changes would support the banks business expansion and customer service focus going forward.
