The Police are searching for a Bangladeshi man accused in a fraud case.
Police said the suspect was given large amounts of Maldivian currency along with US dollars to be deposited in the bank account of a local company. However, the suspect had allegedly fled with the money and the case is now being investigated by the Economic Crime Department of the Maldives Police Service.
The suspect has been identified as Bangladeshi national Jahangir Aloom.
The police has requested any one with information related to the suspect to notify the police.
