Four people were injured in the accident prone southernmost Atoll Addu on Sunday after two bikes collided just after sunset.
Police spokesperson said both the drivers and passengers had been injured in the accident that occurred in the main road of Hithadhoo island.
Eyewitnesses say a speeding bike had crashed into the other while the latter was backing out of a parking zone.
The victims are being treated at the Hithadhoo Regional Hospital and one is reportedly in critical condition according to hospital sources.
