The couple found dead in their bedroom was laid to rest in the same grave shortly after noon prayers on Monday.
Gasim Shahid 50, and his wife Razeena Ibrahim 40, were found dead in their bedroom of the fifth floor apartment in Light Signal house in Maafannu ward in capital Male.
A shared grave is rarely allowed in the Maldives.
Police had earlier said the couple would be in the mortuary until the investigation was completed but later said the family has now been allowed to bury the couple.
Their sudden demise appears to be from natural causes but police are yet officially comment on the cause of death.
The couple leaves behind three children.
Avas understands that police had expressed desire to conduct a postmortem. But the eldest child had reportedly turned down the request as his parents death points towards natural causes.
