First Lady, Madam Fathimath Ibrahim has lead the first door to door campaign of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom's 2018 campaign for re-election.
Some Parliament Members, as well as Ministers participated along with top members of the ruling party in the door to door campaign that was started from the main Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) headquarters. A team of 50 party members visited the homes of Hulhumale residents.
The 50 members were divided into groups of three, and each group visited 10 flats to find out the opinions of the people living there.
Maldives Development Alliance (MDA), which is also a member of the government coalition also took part in the event.
