Maldives authorities are looking to have the body samples of the couple who were found dead in their bedroom tested abroad.
Gasim Shahid 50, and his wife Razeena Ibrahim 40, were found dead in their bedroom of the fifth floor apartment in Light Signal house in Maafannu ward in capital Male earlier this month.
Police said the samples would be sent abroad after the tests done locally had not revealed anything unusual.
Police had expressed desire to conduct a postmortem. But the eldest child had reportedly turned down the request as his parents death points towards natural causes.
The couple were buried in the same grave, rarely allowed in the Maldives.
