US hotel chain to develop two resorts in Maldives

Renowned American hotel chain, the Dream Hotel Group has signed and agreement with one of the giants of the Maldivian tourism industry, Universal Resorts to develop two new resorts in the Maldives, named the Chatwal Maaga Maldives and Dream Gasveli.

Last year also stood out as a record year for resort development in the Maldives, with 22 brand new resorts opened in the past three years. The government has plans to build 30-40 new resorts in the Maldives within the next two years.

Dream Hotel said that 80 luxury villas and world famous dining would be available at the Chatwal Maaga Maldives resort.

Jay Stein, CEO of Dream Hotel Chatwal Maaga Maldives and the Dream Gasveli resorts would be developed to be world class luxury resorts. He also noted this opportunity as a success in expanding the company's business interests in Asia.

The Dream group have also previously developed hotels in Vietnam last June. The company is currently in preparations to establish 150 hotels world wide in the next four years.
