BML introduces self-service banking in Fuvahmulah

Bank of Maldives (BML) has expanded it's investments within the Maldives, and has extended it's self-service banking system by introducing a self-service ATM center in Fuvahmulah.

The new center was build as a part of the 'Aharange Bank' (Our Bank) initiative by the bank.

Through the self service center, the option to withdraw, deposit and transfer cash will be available at all times of the day.

BML Director of Operations and Deputy CEO Mohamed Shareef officiated the center at a ceremony held in the BML Fuvahmulah branch.

Speaking at the ceremony, Shareef said the introduction of a new self service banking ATM center in Fuvahmulah was a privilege to the bank.

He noted the importance of expanding BML interests in Fuvahmulah, one of the more densely populated islands in the Maldives.

"This new self service banking center will provide services to the public at all times of the day," Shareef said.

'Aharenge Bank' was launched with the intention of further developing the relations between the Maldivian public and the bank. The bank has doubled its investments across the nation, and has vowed to invest MVR300 million this year.

BML is the largest banking network in the Maldives, with 31 branches in 20 atolls, 78 ATMs, 4000 POS Merchants, 190 Cash Agents, 19 Self Service Baking Centers as well as 5 Dhoani Banking Units, along with a state of the art online service. BML posted a record MVR281.8 million profit last year.
