A tourist spending his holiday at Olhuveli Resort has died, after falling to the sea from his water villa. The cause of death has been confirmed as a heart attack, which had caused him to fall into the water.
Police spokesperson said the incident was first reported on Tuesday at around 8:30 PM, and that the deceased is a 55 year old from Germany. The man was pronounced dead, when he was rushed to the Guraidhoo Health Center.
Authorities are now trying to send the body of the deceased back home.
The man has been known to have a previous heart condition.
