Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has recorded over MVR1 billion in revenue last month.
MIRA statistics show that the total sum was over 15.2 percent more than the revenue forecast for last month.
However, the figure was lower in comparison for the same period last year due to additional revenue land acquisitions, conversion fees and lease period extension fees.
Goods and Services Tax (GST) was the highest revenue contributor last month with MVR638.38 million.Business Profit Tax (BPT) was the second largest source with MVR136.85 million.
Statistics show that MVR64.52 million was recorded through green tax, with an additional MVR45.99 million from airport service charge.
