Customs has seized over half a kilo of drugs from a local man arriving in the Maldives from Dubai.
Customs said 578 grams of heroin was found on the smuggler, who was searched at the Maldivian airport for appearing suspicious. Upon checking the man, two packets containing what was later confirmed to be heroin were discovered.
The smuggler is currently in police custody as police investigate the case.
