Maldives Customs Service has seized 3.3 kg of drugs smuggled into the country through a courier service.
The items were intercepted during a search of two packages imported to the Maldives through courier.
The two packages were searched on March 20, with the first package weighing 3.1kg and the second weighing 210g. Initial testing confirmed the presence of synthetic cathinone in the items.
The seized drugs have now been handed over to the police for further investigation.
