A man on Sunday, attacked his sleeping brother with a sharp object in a house in Maafannu ward in the capital Male City.
The injured man was taken to state-run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) by the police. Details remain sketchy as the hospital and police have not disclosed further details of the attack or the state of the victim.
The victim had reportedly called for help during the attack and the assailant had fled the scene.
