Dhiraagu unveils new brand identity

The first ever Maldivian telecommunication company in Maldives, Dhiraagu, on Wednesday unveiled its brand new identity with changes made to their principal colour, slogan and logo.

The new logo is a slight variation of its signature hand print since 2005. The new brand identity, according to the telecommunication company, represents a vibrant outlook with its change of principal colour to orange.

The unveiling ceremony was held on Wednesday night at the National Art Gallery in the capital Male. The changes were instigated immediately after the unveiling ceremony on social media and their official website.

Dhiraagu was officially established on October 1, 1988 and remained the telecommunication monopoly until 2004. Dhiraagu rebranded and introduced a new logo for the first time in June 2005.

Dhiraagu maintains one of the world's longest microwave links over water, which is a 65km link across the equator that connects Fuvahmulah in southernmost part of Maldives to Gaafu Dhaalu and Gaafu Alif Atoll, which is above Fuvahmulah.
