Police late Tuesday, arrested a local with over a dozen beer cans in Kaafu Atoll Maafushi island.
Police spokesperson said the man was arrested just past midnight on Tuesday during a special operation in Maafushi island.
The man had 15 beer cans in his possession at the time of the arrest, spokesperson added.
The 40 year old has been remanded for 15 days as police continue the investigation.
