Court on Sunday extended the remand for the expatriate workers who were arrested over the murder of a 54-year-old local man in an ice plant at Ihavandhoo in Haa Alif Atoll.
Police had earlier said a total of six suspects had been arrested over the murder while their remand had been extended by 15 days.
Police had also revealed that 27-year-old Bangladeshi expat Shomun Mia had confessed to the murder, adding that the murder weapon and the clothes he wore during the crime had been discovered.
The remaining suspects are accused of accessories to the murder.
Police believe that the murder was motivated by greed.
