Thai Tourism Minister all praise on Maldivian tourism

Thailand's Tourism and Sports minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkal was all praise about the Maldivian tourism industry, claiming it is exemplary to the world.

Speaking during a conference held on Thursday at Hotel Jen, the Tourism and Sports minister who is part of the Thailand's business delegate currently attending the trade forum at Dharubaaruge, said the Maldivian tourism industry is ideal for the worldwide tourism sector and Thailand wishes to educate themselves from Maldives on trade practices in the industry.

Thailand's tourism is a 30 million annual visitor industry.

Minister Wattanavrangkal highlighted the importance of developing tourism in an environment friendly manner adding the country's tourist destinations are not exclusively Bangkok or Phuket.

Thailand's Tourism and Sports minister had inspected sports and recreational facilities of Maldives. She is scheduled to visit Youth Center, National Football Stadium as well as Hulhumale' Youth City.

Maldivian Youth Minister Irthisham Adam said the meeting between her and Minister Wattanavrangkal has been fruitful adding that talks of developing sports tourism and improving water sports activities had concluded with sound results.

Tourism and Sports minister Wattanavrangkal is currently visiting Maldives to take part in the trade forum that has 22 of the country's ventures seeking business opportunities.
