Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) on Saturday announced that it would suspend its operations for the new year's eve after the government declared Sunday as a public holiday to accommodate a four day weekend.
MPL in a statement said following the government's decision, it would suspend its services from 7.30 Sunday but would resume full operations on Monday.
"Normal services will resume on Monday," the statement read.
