An unidentified man was stabbed in the capital Male on Wednesday afternoon, police confirmed.
Police said the man was being treated at the privately run ADK hospital in Male and the investigation was now underway.
Further details of the incident however, remain unclear.
ADK Managing Director Ahmed Afaal said a stab victim was brought in around 1.40pm but refused to comment on his condition.
