Two suspects have been arrested in relation to a stabbing incident that occurred in Feydhoo island of Addu Atoll.
A 12-year-old boy was stabbed last Tuesday in Feydhoo. The police Sunday said two suspects aged 19 and 22 have been arrested under a court order in connection to the incident.
AVAS has learnt that the stabbing was the result of a disagreement between two 'gangs' in Addu City. The victim of the stabbing is a ninth-grade student enrolled at Feydhoo School. Credible sources say the boy has been known to be involved in gang activities.
A child was stabbed in Addu City while a 13-year-old boy was found murdered in capital Male' on June 21st.
