A young man has passed away while being treated for injuries sustained in an assault in Feydhoo, Addu City.
The fight broke out at 3:10 a.m., and the 21-year-old man died while undergoing treatment at the Addu Equatorial Hospital's ICU.
A hospital official told AVAS that a wound sustained on the youth's back was deep enough to damage his chest.
A 19-year-old man was injured in a similar fight on Tuesday night. A police official said the fighting in Addu City is believed to be linked to drugs.
