Govt owned Hajj Corporation MD sacked

Government owned Hajj Corporation's Managing Director Yameen Idrees has been terminated from his designation on Thursday.

Apart from Idrees, Farhad Dawood who held the Rector designation and board member of the corporation was sacked from the corporation at the same time as well.

Top management of the corporation had not disclosed the decision for their sudden axing of both Rector and MD.

The corporation's board which originally comprises of five members currently finds its board members in State Minister of Islamic Ministry Ali Waheed, the corporation's Chairperson Mohamed Rasheed Ibrahim Rasheed and Abdulla Farooq Hassan.

While Hajj Corporation's Managing Director had faced the axe, two more found their out of their office cubicle on Thursday. Both Housing Development Corporation's (HDC) Chairman Fuwad Qasim and Deputy Home Minister Ahmed Saleem were terminated from their held responsibilities as well.
