Former chief justice Faiz Hussain has claimed that both attorney general and prosecutor general cannot have direct involvement to implement the Supreme Court order.
Ex-chief justice Hussain made the assertion after both PG and AG had made several excuses to hinge the implementation of top-court order to release 9 political prisoners as well as the annulment of anti-defection law.
Hussain who was removed from his former designation through parliament vote said that though conflict of opinion may arise over court mandated order it is still necessary to implement it.
The former chief justice also added that obeying court order is mandatory for anyone the constitution subjects it.
Both attorney general and prosecutor general had made excuses stating the top-court order needs to be evaluated properly before action can be taken according to it. The order was issued on Thursday night and it has crossed more than 24 hours since then.
Meanwhile police claims they have commenced the implementation procedure under the consultancy of prosecutor general and attorney general.
